Greek national opera

Greek National Opera. The ballet of the Greek National Opera was born sixty years ago in the theatrical period 1939-40 together with the Opera Department of the then Royal Theatre by kostis Bastias and appearded for the first time on March 5th 1940 during the performance of Johan Strauss The Bat. That was the first composition of a Classical Ballet Company in Greece that formed the seed and reason for everything that followed so far.
